Our purpose for organizing into this body of believers is to glorify God and to exalt His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Everything we do, therefore, is for the accomplishment of that purpose. It determines the methods and programs we use to reach the lost with the gospel. It is foundational for the way we worship in the preaching of God’s Word, the music we use, and the giving of ourselves to the Lord. It is our impetus to obey His command to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” But it’s not just what we do when we “come to church.” It is also what we challenge each other to do when we exit the beautiful facility God has provided for the assembling of ourselves together.
